Juan J. Cardona completed his medical school education at Institución Universitaria Visión de las Américas in the “coffee axis” in Pereira, Colombia. During this time, he led the neurosciences research group focusing on neuroanatomy, pioneered clinical electives centered on neurosurgery at the end of his internship, and so forth. Later, he completed two years of advanced training and research on neurosurgical anatomy at Tulane University before joining Stanford University to study the indications and outcomes of CyberKnife SRS as a noninvasive, cutting-edge treatment modality for the treatment of neurosurgical diseases.
